Luxury boutique hotel Cape Lodge in Yallingup is opening up its kitchen for a new lunch experience – cooking with Executive Chef Michael Elfwing.
On one Saturday each month from September 2014 until June 2015, Michael will create a meal using seasonal local produce, sharing his kitchen tips, recipes and how to choose the best ingredients, before guests silt down to a superb three course long table lunch served in the Cape Lodge restaurant.
Each class has a different theme - from Cooking with Marron to The Perfect Sunday Brunch and The Art of Souffle.
Michael’s cooking has a number of influences including his Swedish heritage, his training in French culinary cuisine, his work for many years with legendary Cheong Liew in Adelaide and Kuala Lumpur, and at the world-famous Fat Duck with Heston Blumenthal as well as in other European Michelin kitchens.
The cooking class with the Long Table Lunch is $145 per person. For a schedule of classes and special accommodation rates visit http://www.capelodge.com.au, email stay@capelodge.com.au or call (08) 97556311. Classes start on 13 September.
