I have four double passes to give away to Jiro Dreams of Sushi, a film about Tokyo’s most famous sushi chef’s life and journey. To enter simply leave a comment here, on my facebook page or tweet me your all-time favourite Japanese restaurant by Sunday 20/5/12. Competition open to Perth, Brisbane, Sydney, Canberra and Adelaide foodie cravings readers.

Jiro Dreams of Sushi is the story of 85 year-old sushi chef, considered by many to be the world’s greatest sushi chef. He owns Sukiyabashi Jiro, a 10-seat, sushi-only restaurant located in a Tokyo subway station despite its humble appearances, it is the first restaurant of its kind to be awarded a prestigious 3 star Michelin review, and sushi lovers from around the globe make repeated pilgrimage, calling months in advance and shelling out top dollar for a coveted seat at Jiro’s sushi bar. At the heart of this story is Jiro’s relationship with his eldest son Yoshikazu, the worthy heir to Jiro’s legacy, who is unable to live up to his full potential in his father’s shadow.

The double passes are valid at Cinema Paradiso (Perth), Chauvel Cinema (Sydney), Greater Union Manuka (Canberra), Palace Centro (Brisbane) and Palace Nova Eastend (Adelaide).

Winners will be drawn at random and announced Monday 21/5/12. Good luck!

My fav used to be Tsunami in Mosman Park, but I do have to admit I really loved my recent visit to Nobu even if that is a bit mainstream! For my currently favourite I would have to say it’s Ha-lu. I love the izakaya style eating and their olsen style poached egg and toro dish is to die for!

Jun is my fav casual Perth Japanese restaurant too - so worth the 15min walk from my work!

Japan was where I had eel for the first time, burger boy & I really over-ate there :) So yep agreed love all the eateries there too.

Thanks for entering and congrats on winning a double pass to Jiro Dreams of Sushi!
