Burger Off with Eat Meets West at Leederville Carnival

I love a good food competition! I’m always hosting pizza competitions for our Crust and find them so much fun to watch. Admittedly though I’ve never competed in any myself so when I was approached by Jus Burgers to compete in a “burger off” on stage at The Light up Leederville Carnival, I cheekily put burger boy forward.

burger boy was pretty excited at the prospect of getting his dream burger featured on Jus Burgers Leederville menu so it didn’t take much to convince him that he would be the one competing in the burger off.

It was all going according to what I thought was an ingenious plan up until 10 minutes before the burger off! Friday night burger boy came up with his dream burger, Saturday morning he cooked up his burger for us to taste…minutes before the burger off burger boy decided that I “would be better at it”!

This is burger boy’s The Sriracha burger which I cooked up on stage :)

Inside this brioche bun is a Sriracha infused Blackwood Valley Angus beef patty with melted provolone cheese, crispy bacon, caramelised onion, tomato and avocado topped with a Sriracha aioli.

Bri of Eat Meets West was inspired by the movie Chef and made this Cubano Bri-oche…

We are very excited that the king of Perth burgers, Justin Bell will be putting both burger boy’s burger The Sriracha and Eat Meets West’s Cubano Brio-che on his Jus Burgers Leederville menu for a week each. The Sriracha will be available for $14.50 the week of 22 December and you can grab Bri’s Cubano Bri-oche next week :). Let us know what you think!

foodie cravings

I’m a foodie who enjoys trying new food anywhere / any place (restaurants, cafes, bars, market stalls, fast food joints…anywhere just name it!) both in Perth, Western Australia and on my travels. I’m not your ordinary foodie, I’m often described as ‘fussy’ but I really really do love my food - I guess just not everything that’s put on my plate. Though, my other half, ‘burger boy’, eats most foods so I’ll be blogging about what he eats too…and as the name implies, burgers will be a regular foodie blog for all you burger lovers outthere. I love showcasing my yummy food finds with pics so I thought why not share my passion for food with other foodies with my blog, foodie cravings. Follow my food journey as I discover new keepers and rave about my all-time favourites.
