Castro 24 days of coffee review by guest blogger Frank

This isn’t my first visit to Castro but with a reputation for being one of Perth’s premier coffee venues, and the 2011 & 2012 winner of Eat Drink Perth’s Best Coffee in the City of Perth award, Castro has a lot to live up to.

I love this sign, it is so true…

I visited Castro on a Friday morning. It was busy, as usual, but the morning madness appeared to have died down a little. The service was friendly and efficient, and like the other 24 days of coffee guest bloggers the wait at Castro was a little longer than I would have liked.

My regular skinny flat white was $4.20 and a soy is $4.70, price-wise it is more on the expensive side but not completely outrageous by Perth standards. When my skinny flat white arrived, it was everything I was looking for - smooth in texture, strong in taste and very easy and enjoyable to drink. Castro delivered on the coffee and made the wait worthwhile.

Castro lived up to their reputation for fantastic coffee and I will be back.

Frank’s coffee rating: 8/10
