The perfect toe-dip into the world of wine! In two rapid paced hours we’ll take a whirlwind trip around the wine world, tasting some of the world’s most well known (and not-so-known) grapes, and the regions that make them famous. We’ll talk about that all important French term terroirs, and the gazillion decisions a winemaker must make in getting grapes to glass. We’ll also touch on food and wine pairings, wine and fashion, deciphering a label, and much much more. This is the perfect course for those just catching the wine bug or for those more seasoned wine geeks wanted to brush up on their general wine knowledge.

*All courses are taught by Christina Pickard, wine writer for Scoop Magazine, and contributor to publications including Gourmet Traveller Wine and Decanter. A native New Yorker turned Londoner turned Perthian, Christina has travelled the wine world and brings a truly international perspective to wine in the wild west. She focuses mainly on small, artisan producers using minimal chemicals in the vineyards and winery.
Christina is not interested in snobbery and is a firm advocate of wine for the people. Above all, she believes wine should be honest and delicious (more on that here).
