Christina Pickard School of Wine: Pinot Noir The Temptress Oct 24 @ Raffles Hotel

Pinot Noir is the most seductive grape on the planet. Once she has you in her clutches, you can never go back. Notoriously difficult to grow, and only happy in tiny pockets of the world, it’s downright incredible that winemakers can turn this fussy grape into the beguiling and long-lived wine that makes even the strongest to go weak at the knees.

Join Christina at Raffles Hotel as she takes you through 10 premium Pinot Noirs from around the world, from Burgundy (the region for which so much wine geekness occurs), to New Zealand, to Victoria’s Mornington Peninsula, to our very own Western shores. Get up close and intimate with the world’s sexiest grape, and find out which style tempts you the most.

Raffles will also be offering an excellent food and drink special for those who want to make the most of their Thursday night out. Details to come.

When: Thursday 24 October 2013, 6:00-08:00
Where: Raffles Hotel
Tickets: $80 (http://pinotthetemptressraffles.eventbrite.com.au/)

*All courses are taught by Christina Pickard, wine writer for Scoop Magazine, and contributor to publications including Gourmet Traveller Wine and Decanter. A native New Yorker turned Londoner turned Perthian, Christina has travelled the wine world and brings a truly international perspective to wine in the west.
