fantastic page , recipes comps etc loving it
I know it’s hard with work and junior burger but I would like to see more travel posts.
I would love to see articles of where you can go and learn to how to cook, cooking skills from beginners, bbq cooking, desert making etc..what cooking schools are available north and south of the river. Or what Tafes or Polytechnic etc is available. Or how to make pizzas?
Another idea could Crust pizza run little pizza making sessions for kids on school holidays?? Or take it into the
schools and have pizza cooking sessions. you could use your bases, toppings, buy the pizza ovens around $200
from kitchenware house, they only take 5 minutes to cook in these ovens. Just an idea…
Myself and my mum recently showed my daughters kindy class how to make spaghetti, the dough, put it through the spaghetti machine (meanwhile I had a basic tomatoe sauce on kindy’s stove cooking)
A bit pot of water boiling to cook the spaghetti. I provided plastic bowls , parmesian cheese , plastic forks and serviettes. Kids doing the dough is good for Motor Skills. We did the session in one hour and half.
The kids and teachers gobbled up the spaghetti , they loved it…and the kids and teachers still talk about it now…
I’d love to see more reviews of cheap eats and places with special offers, like many people we’ve had to tighten our belts a bit, and eating out is a luxury I don’t want to lose!
I would love to read more stories on venues in the Eastern Suburbs and Hills area as well as wineries and breweries. There are some fantastic hidden gems in places like Guildford, Bassendean and Caversham and being a country girl at heart there is nothing better than getting out of the hustle and bustle of the city for a drink and meal in Gidgegannup, Mundaring or Kalamunda. The view of Perth as you drive back down the hill into town is worth the trip it’s self- especially as the sun sets over the city on a balmy summer evening!
I would love to see you list venues for occasions
Date night venue, group relaxing arvo venues, brunch venues, girls day out venues, blokes venues… Just a little something to help me choose where to go based on why I’m going out!
i crave spicy so i would like a spice hot challenge and lots of home cooking ideas to cook too
Cheers for the ideas Julie. Getting more creative with my home cooking is one of my 2016 nye resolutions and I have a new contributor who will be sharing her thermomix recipes so my in the kitchen page should start to fill with new cooking ideas soon. The spice challenge I might have to leave it to one of my writers as I don’t do spice well
I would like to see a section with quirky/different type eateries and restaurants because so many of the Perth restaurants are sub-standard and all the same. We need a little more funk in Perth - I have found a few that are a little different such as Alfred’s kitchen and Cafe Mueller but I would love to know where some others are. We have so little in Perth compared to places like Melbourne
Thanks so much for the ideas everyone. Congrats to the winners Maria Daniele, Rebecca Lawrence & @sarah5423 on insta you’ve each won a double pass to Sunday’s #sunsetwine - please email foodie@foodiecravings.com.au by 27/1/16 to claim your prize
