For those of you who are regular readers of my blog I thought I’d write a bit of an update on what’s been happening in my foodie world of late.
The blog posts have slowed down since we welcomed junior burger to our foodie family mid August – all part of the juggling act! junior burger has added so much love to our lives and is already a true foodie, all she wants is milk and she won’t wait more than 10 minutes!
With my blog posts slowing down in frequency, my Perth News & Events Listings have ramped up with food businesses submitting their news directly to foodie cravings. You can find all my Latest Perth Food News & Events here and I also share links to new listings on my foodie cravings facebook page and twitter.
I’ve been also getting invites to new venues that I can’t get to personally. I’d still love to feature these venues so that you foodies are the first to know about new venues. I am keen to hear if you would read posts that weren’t written personally by me as I’m considering writers. It’d be one or two writers who I’d hand pick based on personality & writing style and all posts would be edited by me. Just an idea at this stage but just putting it out there!
I love writing my Top 5 Perth Eats and they will continue. As you know these are short snappy blog posts about my favourite Perth Eats for the month. I started this monthly feature last year on WA Day and you can find all my Top 5 Perth Eats here or check out my full Perth Restaurant Reviews list.
Social media has been and is an awesome way for me to share my foodie experiences on the go. For foodie cravings on the go, find me on facebook, twitter and instagram.
Some of you would also know that burger boy and I own the Crust Gourmet Pizza Bar in Mount Lawley. At the mo we’re gearing up for the Beaufort Street Festival which is back on Sat 15 November.
We’ve got a Pizza Eating Competition at the food stage from 4pm, if you’re a fast eater apply to be a contestant. There’s a pizza party for 10 up for grabs.
I’ll be turning our Crust on the corner of Walcott and Beaufort Street into a Pizza Picnic. Picnic tables/benches have been booked, a bubble machine, more turf to extend onto the road and helium balloons! Oh and we’ve got a pop up stall selling ready made smaller pizzas opposite the food stage for those on the go too.
Last but not least, I’ve been renominated for the Beaufort Street Network board, a not for profit organization made up of volunteers dedicated to creating a Better Beaufort Street. So you’ll hear what’s happening in the Mount Lawley foodie scene as soon as I do!
So enough about me, if there’s anything else you’d like to see more of on the blog let me know!
