This time last year burger boy and I were gearing up for the Beaufort Street Festival - we thought our Crust Gourmet Pizza Bar was going to be ready in time but when the fit out was running behind we were still super keen to get in on all the festival excitement. We thought long and hard on how we were logistically going to get our gourmet pizzas to the festival considering we didn’t have a store and how we would maintain the quality/keep the pizzas hot.
We decided in the end that we would make our pizzas at the Subiaco Crust and deliver it to the streets of Mount Lawley and wow we felt welcomed by the locals 😉 we gave over 1000 pizza samples away on the day – if you’ve read my blog post about our day at the festival you’ll know it was a fun but crazy day! And we didn’t have any dramas keeping the pizzas hot as they went super quick.
This year, we are excited to have our very own Crust Gourmet Pizza Bar in Mount Lawley and to be a part of the Beaufort Street Festival again. Having been at last year’s festival I found the hardest thing on day was holding onto my food, drinks, phone and camera especially walking alongside 80,000 other people! So for Crust this year I was keen to come up with a special Beaufort Street Festival menu in addition to our usual menu that would cater for those visiting the festival.
What better way than to get everyone who knows our Crust and The Beaufort Street Festival best to help us come up with the special menu. Thanks to the Beaufort Street Festival tasting panel we’ve decided to offer our Mediterranean Lamb, Vegetarian Supreme, Peri Peri Chicken and Hawaiian as a 9-inch pizza & drink special for $10 on the day. For the gluten intolerant, 11-inch gluten free bases for the above pizzas will be available with a drink for $20.

Thanks Michelle for a great night coupled with awesome tunes and scrumptious gluten free pizza. I guarantee the pizzas will be a bit hit for the Festival! What was your choice for the GF pizzas?

hey Martine, going to do the same pizzas for the gluten free pizzas but we’ll have to charge more as it’s 11 inches and the gluten free bases cost a lot more. Thanks for the reminder to check in with burger boy - will update this blog post with the gluten free info
that Crust rocky road dessert calzone looks seriously decadent. one to definitely share the calories.
