restaurant reviews over east

burger boy and I love flying around Australia and checking out all the cool restaurants, bars and food outlets that we don’t have here in Perth. As holidays are always short and filled with eating all every day, my to write list for this page is massive…so besides the full reviews featured below here’s a few of my favs:

Sydney favs
* Wagaya in China Town - Japanese tapas, super tasty order via a machine and food is made fresh for you immediately
* Red Lantern in Surry Hills - delicious authentic Vietnamese fine dining and we got to meet Luke Nguyen!
* Terrace Thai in Pyrmont - we stumbled across this quality Thai restaurant on our first night in Sydney
* Golden Century in China Town - this Chinese restaurant is open all hours, great peking duck pancakes
* Hurricanes in Darling Harbour - best mars bar cheesecake, awesome view, plenty of yummy ribs (don’t go the steak)

Melbourne favs
* Naked for Satan on Brunswick Street in Fitzroy - 80c tapas, charged by the number of used toothpicks
* Pellegrini’s Espresso Bar on Bourke Street in the CBD - casual authentic Italian food, you sit on the bar stool, orders are taken & remembered (not written), pay by cash at the counter on the way out - great way to get to know new people
* Misty’s Diner on High Street in Prahran, delicious American food - amazing milkshakes, pulled pork, ribs, buffalo wings, chili cheese fries…guaranteed to roll out of there barely moving.
