Aussie Farmers Direct – our relationship blossomed initially because I had a baby

0

I’ve been ordering my fresh produce and seafood from Aussie Farmers Direct since junior burger was born. Initially, I was ordering for the convenience of having my groceries delivered to my door and being able to have my order repeated weekly, fortnightly or monthly without thinking. As a new mum on very little sleep at the time, this was a massive help. I could not risk waking up to a house with no milk for coffee.

These days, with junior burger almost turning three – trips to the shops have been a lot easier and actually fun. So my appreciation for Aussie Farmers Direct is now for the quality Australian sourced seafood and produce, weekly specials and free deliveries for spends over $25. I also love that you can choose to only order buy WA products…

Some of my favourite Aussie Farmers Direct buys

Salmon fillets ($17.99 for two 180g pieces) – salmon is junior burger’s favourite meal. I panko crumb and fry small pieces for her – it’s often a Friday night thing but whenever I ask her what she wants for breakfast, lunch or dinner – it’s always salmon so salmon is a must have in the fridge/freezer.

Brownes 2L Milk ($3.50) – despite doing a major grocery shop at the beginning of the week or over the weekend, we are always low on milk by the end of the week!

Juice (ranges from $5 but there’s always weekly juice specials)– I usually make my own fresh juices in my Thermomix but lately all I have been craving are bottled juices.

Family beef pie ($9.99) – some days all I feel like eating is a good ole pie covered in tomato sauce! Plus having a break from cooking after juggling entertaining a toddler, working on our small business and foodie cravings is just bliss.

Bread rolls or sliced bread – nothing better than waking up to fresh bread on my door step!

Barramundi Humpty Doo Fillets ($14.99 for two 180g pieces) – we love our grilled fish and the boneless barramundi fillets is one of our favs. Salt, pepper and olive oil is all we add before grilling.

Fruit & Veg – I tend to top up my fruit & veg with Aussie Farmers on Thursdays. Bananas, mandarins and apples are always in my shopping basket.

I’m pregnant again!

On a completely separate note, those of you who follow me on social media will know that I’m pregnant again - our new addition junior cravings is due to arrive towards the end of July. So although my Aussie Farmers Direct relationship has matured, I’ll def be going back to those auto-repeat weekly orders just so that I am guaranteed to have food in the house when we are all sleep deprived.

Where do you buy your groceries? Do you spread your love like me over the week or just do one bulk shop?
