Thanks to junior burger, I’ve been craving all things sweet in February!
Top 5 Perth Eats
#1 Ingredient Tree’s French Toast – oh my I was in heaven.. this French toast is one of the best I’ve ever had. It was served with a fruit compote and crème fraiche. I was really craving figs so that’s what you see in the corner of my pic. The Ingredient Tree’s service was fantastic and is the perfect place to go if you have any allergies or are pregnant as it’s air-conditioned and they are happy to tailor dishes.
#2 The Ladder Café & Deli’s Goliath – the ciabatta springs back when you bite into it, scrambled eggs were creamy and the bacon was cooked just the way I like it, not too crisp but not underdone.
#3 Creamy Ghees liquid nitrogen tiramisu ice cream – I am absolutely fascinated by liquid nitrogen ice cream at the moment. I was introduced to Creamy Ghees tiramisu liquid nitrogen ice cream at Fringe World’s launch of Noodle Palace and am craving more!! I don’t even like tiramisu, but this ice cream was just divine. Follow these guys on facebook to find out which event they’ll be at next.
#4 Maddison Cottage’s house made scones – I tasted these when we were having high tea and would go back just for it! I also thought $32 per person for unlimited tea and this three tier was amazing value for money.
#5 Pleased to Meet You’s duck tacos - it’s awesome when fusion is done right. These duck tacos satisfied my cravings and worked beautifully with the corn salsa.

Duck tacos were good! Though there were some misses too - ramen wasn’t very good at Pleased to Meet You
I drive past the Ingredient Tree nearly everyday on my way to work but for some reason I haven’t managed to try it yet. It sort of slips my mind when I’m thinking up places to go to. I absolutely love figs and the French toast looks delicious. I will definitely be popping in soon.
