A casual feed at The Byrneleigh Hotel

Last month, burger boy and I went to The Byrneleigh Hotel for dinner before heading to see Black Swan State Theatre’s preview of Day One, A Hotel Evening. This is the most hotels we’ve been to in one night! 🙂

I was in Nedlands for an end of day meeting and super keen to have Italian at Osteria or Lambretta. I heard raving reviews about Osteria and I used to go to Lambretta for lunch with burger boy when I worked in Nedlands many years ago.

We were planning to just have drinks at The Byrneleigh Hotel since both restaurants opened at 6pm, but ended up staying for dinner.

Service was wonderful from start to finish. On entry the bar lady helped me find burger boy and then she followed me into our booth to take my drink order.

I had the chicken parmi ($24) which was tender and the sauce was not overpowering…

burger boy had the $20 Tuesday steak & drink special…

The Byrneleigh

burger boy’s steak was perfectly cooked medium to well-done as requested. The steak itself was worth more than $20 so I wasn’t too phased that the house red wasn’t fantastic.

We were tucked away from the sport tellies and had a nice booth where we had a casual feed / bit of quality time before dashing to the theatre…

The Byrneleigh

The Byrneleigh Hotel caters for sport lovers and those looking for a casual night out. To me it’s a glammed up pub with friendly service and quality food – go there with an empty stomach!
