I work in the city and have been watching The Terrace Hotel’s refurbishment progress everyday in anticipation of the grand tour. I had the opportunity to have a sneak preview when The Terrace Hotel team ordered our crust pizzas night prior to the media launch but I was unfortunately in a Halloween costume so going into the terrace in my witch outfit was not an option 😉 so I was excited to be invited to Yelp Perth’s Elite Event last month.
The Terrace Hotel originally known as Bishop’s Grove was built in 1982, represents the terrace style buildings that were developed in the latter part of the 19th century. It is a reminder of the former way of life in Perth’s central business district.
The Terrace Hotel only opened officially to the public 3 hours prior to Yelp’s Perth Elite Event last month (11 November 2024) but it didn’t look like it had just opened, everything open to the public eye was complete and beautiful.

I was eager to explore this quaint hotel so after a glass of wine and a few canapés a group of us Perth foodies went for a guided tour by The Terrace Hotel concierge.

Here’s a pic of one of the moderate suites…
The Terrace Hotel is a beautiful quaint venue and it’s great that there are more accommodation options for domestic and international guests to choose from. What I love is that the addition of The Terrace Hotel along with all the new WA iconic bars, restaurants and venues adds to the appeal of Perth as a holiday destination and us Perthies can’t say we have nothing to do anymore! I can’t say I’ll be booking a hotel suite anytime soon but I’ll definitely be trying out the restaurant.
