November just seems to be the month that everything happens. For those of you who live in Western Australia, you’ll know Margaret River’s food and wine festival Gourmet Escape is coming up this November 22 - 25. Thanks to the promoters, foodie cravings readers can purchase two Gourmet Village tickets for $50 (usually $74 for two) for Sunday November 25. The Gourmet Village program sounds great, Heston Blumenthal (The Fat Duck), Matt Moran (MorSul), Peter Gilmore (Quay), Neil Perry (Rockpool) and other renowned international and local chefs will be all at the beautiful Leeuwin Estate Winery showcasing their cooking prowess through cooking demonstrations, master classes, wine tastings and Q&As over the 24/25 Nov weekend. I’m told the chefs will be also mingling among the crowd – when I went to see Heston’s show earlier this year at His Majesty’s Theatre, one patron paid $1000 for her ticket so this might be a cheaper way to meet the great man
