Bilby’s Chargrilled Burgers, as outback as you can get in Claremont!

It’s not often that I have cravings for burgers so burger boy was quite excited when I said I felt like a burger after work 🙂 We were planning to just go to burger bistro in Leederville as they have ciders on offer and we were happy with our experience last time but just as we started to make our way there I found a burger bar rated highly on urbanspoon in Claremont which we hadn’t heard about before. And we’re always up for trying new places so off we went to Bilby’s Chargrilled Burgers…

Bilby’s Chargrilled Burgers is tucked away in the middle of the Claremont suburbs and if you weren’t a local/hadn’t heard about Bilby’s then you probably wouldn’t find it.

I had the chilli chic burger $11.70 which had a sweet chilli flavoured chicken breast, lettuce and tomatoes. The bun was a bit denser / thicker than I usually like but the flavours/fillings tasted good especially for the portion/price .

burger boy had the king pin $10.70 which had a beef patty, relish, cheese, egg, bacon, salad & Bilby’s home-made mayonnaise. burger boy like me thought his burger was a good serving and the filling was tasty but felt the bun was too doughy.

The king pin next to our huge servings of chips…

The chips were one of the best I’ve had and there’s a fantastic range of chip dips.

We had the aioli and Bilby’s mayo chip dips…

If you’re into your burgers and love good portions Bilby’s Chargrilled Burgers is worth a try. There’s plenty of choice and plenty of burgers with game meats. And best of all it’s good value of money and you won’t leave hungry!

  1. I like the idea of a sweet chilli flavoured chicken breast - sounds a lot more adventurous than the usual slab-of-chicken-breast on a burger. I keep hearing about good places to go for food in the Claremont area... one day I might have to canvass the neighbourhood (maybe via some dodgy-looking kerb-crawling in the car) and visit all these little spots!
    • Yea that's what I thought too and it was cool that there were so many chip dips to choose from. The chips were the highlight for me! haha! Koko Black is def worth visiting when you do head to Claremont in a dodgy car ;)...and there's this Italian place Trattoria Valdarno in Dalkeith which is really cool :)
  2. The mintie on each plate is intriguing me more than the actual burger! On looks alone, I'd probably admit to picking somewhere else to visit for burgers...
    • haha Janelle I think I ended up pulling it apart because it was too hard to fit it all in. The filling of the burger was tasty but I do prefer it when it's easier to eat! burger boy on the other hand always manages ;) doesn't even bother cutting it in half!
