Make a Difference – Buy a coffee through Cupflick and help WA animals in need!

If you’re a coffee and animal lover – you’re in for a treat!

Established in 2016, Paper Cup Project Perth is dedicated to connecting local artists with the community. This July, local cashless coffee app Cupflick has teamed up with the Paper Cup Project to raise money for Western Australia animals in need with the release of an awesome special edition cup, featuring artwork by local artist Darren Hutchens.

Between the 15th – 30th July, for every coffee purchased via Cupflick with this special edition cup, $1 will be donated towards The WA Pet Project Inc to help re-home our furry friends! (I think every animal lover supports this).

On the windy, rainy day we headed along to the campaign launch at Little Matcha Girl, and met a new friend Freddy the dog! Unfortunately I didn’t capture a picture of Freddy (I was possibly too distracted by his cuteness and liveliness). Freddy is one of the animals in need who has been living in a foster home for two years, and with the help of The WA Pet Project is looking for a permanent home.

The WA Pet Project is a Perth-based charity dedicated to re-homing hundreds of pets through several programs and online resources. Anyone may donate directly through the app or via tins provided at participating cafes. All donations received will aid the charity to maintain its services. Who else agrees this collaboration is a great idea to support this positive community cause?

On a side note thanks to Little Matcha Girl for hosting this awesome event! (And keeping us out of the rain and warm inside with hot coffee and great nibbles). I wished I tried all the different treats but I can tell you I rather enjoyed the Caramelised Pear Gateau (vanilla mousse). I haven’t tasted anything quite like this, but I enjoyed the lightness with the subtle sweetness.

For you coffee and animal lovers – Cupflick is a free app available for download via iTunes and Google Play stores.

Disclaimer: foodie cravings was invited as a guest of Cupflick. See disclosure policy for further details.
