Recipe-to-Riches-Ep11-Party-Food-BatchupThanks to Woolworths, I have six $50 gift cards to giveaway to foodie cravings readers to taste next week’s Recipe to Riches winning product!

My mum has been thinking about turning one of her recipes into “riches” so we’ve been watching Recipes to Riches on Channel Ten religiously every Tuesday at 7:30pm. To win 1 of 6 $50 Woolworths gift cards just comment with which of my mum’s dishes featured in my facebook album you think could stand a chance.

Recipe To Riches takes much-loved home recipes from everyday Australians and turns them into top-selling products on the shelves of Woolworths supermarkets.

Next week’s ‘Party Food’ episode will see Vinnie McGrath’s Hot Wing Marinade (VIC), Ramsay Horton’s exotic Chicken and Pork Balls (NSW), and Alan Burniston’s Goat Sausages (NSW) battle it out for shelf space at your local Woolworths.

The winning contestant’s product will be on shelves the very next day for one week only and available exclusively at Woolworths supermarkets or online at www.woolworthsonline.com.au. The Recipe to Riches contestant that sells the most product wins $100,000 to launch their product.

Competition T&Cs

  • Competition is open to all foodie cravings readers with an Australian postal address.
  • Six foodie cravings readers who have commented here with which of my mum’s recipe they think could make the Recipe to Riches cut will be drawn at random to win a $50 Woolworths Gift Card to test a Recipe to Riches winning product.

  1. Whilst your mum's cooking all looks delicious, I can't go past her Pâté Chaud. We all love a hot pastry pie we can eat with our hands and this dish looks like a winner! I'm drooling just looking at the picture!
  2. I would definitely have to say Bun Bo Hue (Vietnamese spicy beef noodle soup) I am a HUGEEEEEEEEEEEEE noodle soup fan ... if that stuff was able to be frozen and served at home I would be a backer for sure!! lol

  7. Love the Vietnamese Pâté Chaud! I've never heard of them before but they sound sort of like a curry puff (which I love!!)and they look delicious too! It would also lend itself well to being boxed and frozen for sale in a supermarket!
  8. Definately you mum's Bun Bo Hue!! If I could heat this delicious Vietnamese spicy soup up at home, I swear you'd have to stop me from having it 5 nights a week!! I was fortunate enough to travel to Vietnam last year and have tried the real-thing so am craving that authentic goodness again!!!!!
  9. Everyone loves a good pastry pie so it is given that my vote goes to the Vietnamese Pate Chaud! It is something different from our run-out-of-the-mill pies and will be great as an introduction for people new to Vietnamese food!

  15. Green tea ice-cream would be a huge success - green tea is healthy (anti-oxidants) so OBVIOUSLY this cancels out any unhealthy aspects of eating ice-cream!

It all looks mouthwatering! But I would have to say - I would go out and buy (as a recipe to riches product!) the Vietnamese Pâté Chaud (aka hot pastry pie) - perfect for get togethers, lunch, or as a little dinner treat. Plus it is the most interesting and different!
