It’s been a wonderful long weekend filled with lots of food and catch-ups with our family & friends. I even met my pen pal of 16 years for the very first time on Saturday!
My pen pal and her husband were staying with their friend Andy the Chef in Como so we thought the Windsor Hotel would be the perfect venue to have a few drinkies on a Saturday afternoon.
I’ve been to the Windsor Hotel a few times for drinks before and have enjoyed the relaxed chilled out atmosphere. Our experience on the weekend was the same - only minor thing, was that the band was cranking their tunes out making it a little hard to chat in the beer garden but I suppose we were in a bar!
Drink prices were comparable to most Perth bars, my glass of brass razu sauvignon blanc was $9 and burger boy’s pint of James Squire Sundowner was $10.20. The Windsor Hotel also serves my favourite Matso Mango beer which I only noticed on the way out!
We also shared a bowl of wedges $9.50 which was yum - skin was crispy/flavoursome, inside steaming hot and soft - went so well with my glass of wine
My bro, Ex-Fatty, recently went to the Windsor for a work function and he tells me the beer battered fish & chips his colleagues had were pretty good but his steak wasn’t worth $40.
We’ll be back again for drinks and if we happen to be around during dinner, I might give the fish & chips a try!

Went there yesterday for lunch.Food, venue, staff were great, had the pork spare/ribs were very tasty, and serving sizes were huge !!!A great day,at a great place…
The setting at The Windsor is awesome - will have to try their food next time we head that way and I do love my pork
